Patrice Castignolles
University of Western Sydney, NSW, Australia
Dr Patrice Castignolles is lecturer at University of Western Sydney (UWS) and ACROSS and developing new methods for the characterisation of complex polymers. During his PhD on kinetics of radical polymerisation, he became interested in the characterisation of branched polymers, polyacrylates. In University of Sydney and then the University of Queensland he characterised starch and other polysaccharides. In Max Planck Institute for Polymer Research and University of Mainz, he characterised polyelectrolytes. His reserach was initially based on multiple detection SEC with complementary NMR measurements in collaboration with Dr Marion Gaborieau. He now investigate the complementarity of free solution capillary electrophoresis for complex polymer characterisation.
